Literature Text

Beyond all sights the world could show,
Above the things that money could own,
Out of the reach that power could grant,
Amongst every challenge in which knowledge can tramp,
Past the time a clock could tick,
Away from the grave mortality gives,
Without precious attention only fame beholds,
Despite all the things that I betrothe,
Far from these is the love that I miss,
Within my wants I dream of nothing but this.
This is a poem I wrote about a year ago. It started out with a simple assignment to write a prepositional phrase poem (hence, each line begins with a prepositional phrase) on a "difficult/unique" topic. The poem I handed in had to be cut down a lot (I didn't understand the "simple" part of the assignment o3o'), but this is the original one I first drafted...

Comment (please? ^^) on what you think this means, and don't worry if your interpretation is different from others. 8D I'd love to see how others see this.

It's talking about something that's higher than all of this. But it isn't talking about god, at least not to me.
I dunno. True love is the closest I can think of.

Damn straight you're better than ME at poetry, though. I suck at writing poems or anything of the sort. xD
Also, lol @ overcomplicating assignments just b/c you think if you don't you'll get a bad grade, amirite? o3o
